This 3-Ingredient Strawberry Banana Smoothie is as creamy and delicious as it is fast and easy! It’s got just the right amount of sweetness and is perfectly satisfying, plus it takes only a couple quick minutes to throw together.
Strawberries and bananas are a classic combo for good reason! The bright, fruity strawberry flavor and the rich, almost fatty flavor and texture of the banana just bring out the best in each other! Throw in some good quality unsweetened non-dairy milk to bring it all together, and you’re good to go.
Many people seem to think that smoothies are tedious, but I have never understood why. It only takes a minute to gather the ingredients, and another minute to blend it and pour it. To me, it doesn’t get easier or faster than that!
Tip of the mornin’: You can blend the strawberry’s leaves/stems, too, which saves you the unnecessary step of removing them and technically makes your smoothie a green smoothie.
Another tip: If you’ve got some not-so-fresh strawberries (or other fresh fruit) that are really not rotten but just aren’t fresh enough to eat as is, you can still use them for blending! Blend right away, or freeze to blend at a later date. Alternatively, you can bake them, or freeze, then bake. Nobody will know the difference but your wallet.

Ingredients
(available for purchase* and delivery via links below)
Strawberries (ideally frozen but fresh is OK)
Ever so slightly overripe banana (frozen) (overripe so that you get all that good extra sweetness)
Unsweetened non-dairy milk (I like this soy milk, but you can use almond milk, cashew milk, hemp milk, some other nut milk or seed milk that I didn’t mention, oat milk, or any non-dairy milk you prefer)
When you use all frozen fruit here, the resulting smoothie will be much thicker and creamier (like an ice cream milk shake), and it will also stay good longer. If you are using fresh fruit that’s refrigerated but not frozen, it will still taste great and be nice and thick, but not the same as frozen. I do not recommend using room-temperature fruit for any part of this smoothie as I do not enjoy warm smoothies, but if you don’t mind that and all you have is room-temperature fruit, then by all means.

Instructions
First, place all of your ingredients into the blender. If you do not have a high-speed blender, and especially if your fruit is frozen, it can be helpful to chop your fruit into smallish pieces. Note that I have used fresh (not frozen) fruit for this photo because it makes it easier to see what it actually is (and it’s so much prettier!), but honestly it’s significantly better to use frozen fruit in my opinion.
Blend until very smooth and creamy. In a high-speed blender, this can take 20-30 seconds, and it will likely take longer in a standard blender.
Pour into your favorite glass (or glasses, if you’re sharing) and enjoy! Feel free to garnish with more strawberries and banana, or skip the extra step and just get to slurping!
As with all smoothies, this is enjoyed best immediately after blending, with regard to nutritional value, taste, texture, and color.
That color, tho!
