Peachy Strawberry Banana Smoothie

I love this fruity smoothie! The flavor is like the most pleasant wakeup call ever, and the color is just gorgeous. BTW, do you wonder why I put flax seeds in so many of my smoothies? Aside from offering INSANE nutrition on their own, the fats help you absorb the nutrients from the rest of those powerhouse fruits! Just be careful that the flax you’re using is both WHOLE and RAW. You lose nutrients from roasting, and the oils in those tiny little seeds go rancid almost instantly after grinding, so it’s best to always store them whole and then only grind immediately before use (such as in your smoothie!). I don’t like to add much more than this to a smoothie because it can make the smoothie pretty gelatinous. But with this amount you’re safe 🙂

So many people will add juice or honey or some other sweetener to a smoothie like this. There is absolutely no reason for that. The fruits on their own are plenty sweet. It’s just a matter of mentally kicking the habit. Give it a shot!
