In case you couldn’t tell, my toddler didn’t mind the huge handfuls of kale in here. Honestly, I didn’t even taste anything other than rich, yummy, chocolatey goodness.
This is an AMAZING way to get some greens into your day. One, it’s shockingly delicious! Two, well, I’m a fan of getting veggies in at every possible opportunity. If you’re new to green smoothies, you can opt to start out with a little less greenery in there, but I think you’ll be very surprised how much you can pack in without detecting even a hint of anything healthy. Give it a try!
Cho-KALE-ate Banana Smoothie
Your body and taste buds will BOTH thank you for this delicious yet undetectably nutritious smoothie!
Ingredients
- 2 frozen or refrigerated ripe bananas
- 1 c organic non-gmo unsweetened nondairy milk
- 3 huge handfuls kale
- Teeeeeensy pinch of salt optional
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao or cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- Optional: tiny drop of almond extract and or vanilla extract
